Doug Paul, Director of Advanced Planning

Doug Paul is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Arts in Government. He received a Masters of Business Administration from the School of Business of the Louisiana State University with a concentration in accounting and internal audit. Doug attended the University of North Carolina Law School and received his J.D. degree from School of Law at Louisiana State University.

Doug is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is the Director of Advanced Planning for The Wiewel Law Firm. His practice focuses on estate planning through the use of trusts, life insurance, family business entities. He has administered the trusts and estates and supervised the intergenerational transfer of wealth. His practice includes extensive use of business entities, such as Limited Liability Companies and Family Limited Partnerships, and works with charitable minded clients. Doug has worked extensively with federal taxation for both income and transfer taxes. He is admitted to practice law in Texas and North Carolina.

In his personal life, Doug and his wife, Marcia, have two daughters, Selby and Eliza. Doug plays ice hockey and enjoys outdoor activities with his girls.
